This will come in handy over the next few weeks. We had an old iPhone which Mike rigged up as a webcam and aimed at the area where she spends most of her time while we are at work. This is mostly asleep on the couch, and it's comforting to see her there. Also fun to watch Mike get home and play with her, as in this screen grab from a few days ago. When she comes home after surgery, we will have to set up a controlled area with gates so she won't be tempted to jump up on furniture, but will have a nice bed to sleep on and access to water and the pee pad. We'll set up the camera to cover that area. Mike is working from home for a few days to get things set up and tested, and then this will be a great way to monitor her.
