video star?

There are no pictures with this post, but it’s worth noting. This morning, early, in the Park, we were playing frisbee off-leash as is our custom, chatting with a few other dog owners who were also there, by the petanque courts and the Little Dog Run. We all noticed a group of young people with a serious-looking video camera and other equipment walking by. This is not unusual in the Park. A few minutes later, a couple of the people approached us and asked if we would agree to have Maddy appear in a music video. They were the indie group Hurry and they needed a dog for the next scene in their video, and the director had forgotten to arrange for a dog.

Maddy would need to sit next to a young man on a park bench and interact for a few seconds, then they would be noticed by another band member and he would smile and approach to talk about their relationship to put in his book. At least that’s the take-away I got from their description. They were very sweet guys and seemed really taken with Maddy. She did OK (with the help of several Cheerios), though she wanted to jump down and come to me. They said they thought they had gotten some good shots (we did about 6 takes), and we rushed off to meet Mike to go to the green market, as is our custom. They got my email address and promised to send a link to the video once it was completed. If that does indeed happen you will see it here! At any rate, it was fun, and she did swell.
